cricket and india

I was hardcore cricket fan at a certain point of time but the Indian match fixing scandal has changed that. It was so easy for the culprits to get away with murder and now these same players come on Indian news channels (who really stink) as experts and give there uneducated opinions. What have they achieved in there playing career than individual records. As Indians we tend to live with our past glories; we only have won one world cup and that too in the 80’s. Indian media and creative people really don’t have bright ideas so they keep on promoting Indian cricket (example Pepsi ad) and keep the whole jargon running. We see every other kid playing cricket on the street but are not able to produce a world beating team why? Is it because of our system or is it because players like sachin & co who want to keep on playing so they can make few extra bucks. In physics we were taught moment of inertia a property of a body to remain motion less till an external force is applied. It’s the same case with our system maybe it is in cricket or politics so let’s give a big push and move the system.

belonging

Why do I want to be part of something? To get a sense of belonging! We are social creatures and we don’t want to be alone; so we try to associate us with something unique and try to be a part of that unique thing/ group to get that sense of belonging. We always identify ourselves with some type of uniqueness. Oh! I belong to this religion; I am a member of this club, a part of this group and yet we try to stand out in that group and create a different identity for ourselves. We always were individuals and will always strive to be; but we are always too blind to see that.

masks

What makes us hide our real feelings? Why can’t we say what we feel; are we afraid? I think the basic reason for not speaking our mind is that we are bound. Bound in social chain; chain of social norms and etiquettes. Why can’t we break free?
We all wear special masks in this world knowingly or unknowingly. For every role we play in our lives we use those specific masks. These masks give use a different personality using these masks we are a friend to one person while an adversary to another, we love with a mask and we fight with another. Everyone carries a multiple personality with him. Society has thought us we should behave and act in a certain manner and we do; because it is this social fabric that binds us together. But we tend to loose our true face in this social mess, and then we try to find inner peace in some “spiritual journey” we try to cleanse ourselves. All we need to do is merge our masks into one single mask which is true and honest. So let this journey begin….

Freedom

Today I start a new chapter in my life, through this medium. I hope to express my naked thoughts and ideas; being true and honest to my real feelings and opinions. I have always been a very strong opinionated individual but I have never expressed my true feeling be known; to anyone. I am a people person and have always strived to be in good books of every individual I have come across; but this has created a huge traffic jam in my head. At this point I am looking for some outlets to my thoughts and ideas and this is a good platform for it.
